Fourteen Horses Surrendered to Klamath Animal Shelter/Large Animal Division
On November 8, 2017, fourteen Saddlebreds entered our Miller Island facility to undergo evaluation and rehabilitative care. The horses were surrendered by a Klamath Falls resident. Two horses are in critical condition, and all are suffering from neglect and malnutrition. The herd includes three stallions, nine mares, and two yearling fillies. Their ages range from yearling to twenty plus years.
All the horses have kind and gentle dispositions. They load into trailers easily. Information regarding the extent of their training is unknown at this time. The four youngest horses (Shimmer, Moon, Foxy, Tiara) have begun ground training.
